With over forty five years of motorsport photography experience coupled with a successful career in European single seater racing this has provided Kevin with the ideal perspective to photograph motorsport events.
From the early 70’s Kevin was always involved in some form of motorsport, serving an apprenticeship as a motor mechanic for the successful race and rally Ford Dealer Panmure Motors. Having Jim Donald as his foreman was one of the reasons why Kevin’s passion for rallying and motor sport in general is so strong. Jim being one of, if the most successful NZ rally driver of the 70’s & 80’s. A leading figure in the Masport Escort Rally Team, Jim not only won NZ championships he won the New Zealand Rally as well.

Heading to England to further his motorsport career in the late 70’s Kevin worked for the expatriate kiwi journalist Murray Taylor for a number of years winning the British F3 championship in 1982 with Tommy Byrne. Over the years Kevin spent his summer months in New Zealand running drivers in the NZ Formula Pacific series. Winning numerous races with drivers such as Allen Berg, Davy Jones & Ross Cheever. Moving on to race engineering Kevin worked alongside Damon Hill in the UK F3 championship both in 1986 & 1988. He also worked with Formula One drivers Rene Arnoux and Jan Lammers at the prestige Macau Grand Prix.
Returning to NZ in the 80’s Kevin turned to his other passion, photography. Where he now couples both passions together and can be seen at many rally events supporting the drivers and crew.
